PHYSICAL STORYTELLING & DEVISED WORK

at Vagabond School of the Arts
Six-week course
Tuesdays, 6:30-9:30pm
March 7th - April 11th

Physical Storytelling & Devised Work is an exploration in storytelling for the actor. Combining a number of different methods based on The Loui Movement Technique, this class will not only teach you how to create stories physically, but also focus on reconnecting you to your body through yoga, strength training, weight sharing, lifts, and the use of text and contact improv. Participants will end this class as stronger, more physically present artists with a greater knowledge of body specificity and increased confidence in the infinite ways in which your body tells its own story. The final class will be open to observation by friends and family.
